Art brings us together and opens our minds.

Friends of Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery

About

Friends of Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery is a non-profit, volunteer organisation, dedicated to connecting our community with the arts. Through events and fundraising, the Friends contribute funds to expand the gallery’s permanent art collection for visitors and residents to enjoy.

In 2022 the Friends were thrilled to bring Archibald Winner Wendy Sharpe to Coffs as guest speaker for their gala fundraiser. In 2021 the Friends presented Dr Barbara Piscitelli to talk about the importance of children’s art and in 2019 Archibald-winning painter Ben Quilty shared his thoughts on why art matters to communities. The Friends also presented New Year New Work in 2019, an exhibition of over 50 Coffs Coast artists whose works were sponsored by local businesses. The regional gallery’s Still: National Still Life Award is proudly sponsored by the Friends, positioning Coffs Harbour as a destination for still life art. During the year the Friends also host gallery morning teas and evening events for exclusive viewings of exhibitions and stimulating artist or curator talks.

The Friends have actively supported the development of a new larger regional gallery and museum, to be called Yarrila Arts + Museum and due to open in 2023 in the heart of Coffs.

Join us on our mission to bring the joys of art and culture to more people!
